The name Ilanga—Zulu for "The Sun"—is at the heart of everything we do. In a city where the sun is a constant companion, we wanted to create headwear that doesn't just shield you from it, but thrives under it.

Why Hemp?

We didn’t want to make just another "fast-fashion" cap. We wanted something better for the planet and better for your head.

Hemp is breathable, naturally antimicrobial, and incredibly durable. But more importantly, it has a unique soul. Unlike synthetic fabrics that break down and look tired, hemp softens and adapts.
